The north end of the lake offers Whitefish Lake properties with acreage as well as great fishing opportunities. Three main creeks feed into Whitefish Lake here: Swift Creek (Westslope Cutthroat Trout), Lazy Creek and Hellroaring Creek. Lake whitefish, lake trout, northern pike, yellow perch and Westslope Cutthroat Trout are all found in Whitefish Lake. The north end of the lake is the best place to catch them.

The east shore of Whitefish Lake is developed with luxurious lake homes and waterfront properties. Many private developments have sprung up around the east side of the lake. Another public access, Les Mason Park, is cozied up to the eastern shores of Whitefish Lake. Lake property owners near Les Mason Park use the public boat launch as well as other visitors to the park.

The southern end of Whitefish Lake offers a close-knit neighborhood surrounding the public access, City Beach. This is a Whitefish favorite for recreation. A boat launch, grassy picnic area and sandy gradual swimming beach bring quite a variety of recreators. Recreational properties are often available in this sector. Nearby, Whitefish Lake Golf Course offers 36 holes of scenic golfing enjoyment with the mighty Big Mountain and Salish Range framing the shores of Whitefish Lake. Many golf properties, old and new, adorn the fairways of this golf course, the only 36-hole course in Montana.

Whitefish Lake offers a great opportunity for lakefront properties, golf properties and recreational properties. It is one of the more beautiful lakes in the Flathead Valley and a great place to own your own Montana lake home. Real estate in Whitefish is highly desirable and with the recent economical downfall, many Whitefish Lake properties are more affordable than ever.
